Had some serious trouble casting this head. Trashed the old silycone rubber, and ordered new, and all my problems were gone (I am using Rhodosil now, and that silycone is fantastic). Anyway, here's the cast:

Here is the new "glove" mold, most of the body of the mold is cheap plaster to support the rubber, and rubber is only few mm thick. That way I can pop out the head from rubber without any cuts, take it off like a glove ;)
Since Rhodosil can be stretched up to 450% (and I'm not stretching it more than 200%), it goes like a charm...

He has a good quality, and I have some pieces he did here (for 1/48 airplanes-from design to final) , but do not know if I'm alowed to show them (forum policy might concern this as some kind of marketing) ???

    Regards !

I hope it will be no problem.
I warned him he could get very busy in time :)

I already told a Dutch modelfriend of the possibility for etching some parts for the Hotchkisstank he modified.

I don't know any of this process, intriges me...

I ordered some typical ss symbols at Jolly's :)

I decided to first do the bust (that old one was just for fun).
Bust does not follow the picture, because It would be hard to tell that the bust is a soldier, so I
did army sweater, it was very common at that time, I still have one...

    Here's the result:

Nooo, it is vacuum/pressure pot in one. Chamber is from 5mm steel, and the lid has a thread, so cannot be popped up by pressure. Whole thing can hold much more pressure than I need (2.5 bar).
All non-critical parts (small locker for example) is made from garbage laying around, waiting for garbage truck to arrive...
Vacuum pump/compressor is fixed with 4 screws and rubber mount (to avoid vibration) inside the locker.
It is ugly as hell, but, I tried it both for vacuum and pressure, and it works like a charm ;)
The only thing is missing is glass window to see what's going on in there, but it does not bother me, cause for pressure I do not need to see, and for the vacuum, I open the lid three times anyway ;)

So, the bust is swimming in the rubber bath, first "buble-free" casts expected monday ;)

    Regards !

    Very crisp work Darko.
And the vacuum setup has that good old 'A-Team' look.
Who cares what it looks like as long as it works?!
    Very nice work.

    Cheers,

Great work on the first cast! Will be there any badges?
I know this examples aren't from Tigar, but something like this? I like croatian badges and it would be great on your bust.
