Please see the below knights which have been in my gray army for many years. I've been away awhile pursuing my other modelling loves, building cars and starships. After all that styrene it was nice to paint faces again. The figures are all 54mm Andrea kits. Richard the Lionheart has been given a new head which is the alternative head from the Kurgan figure. It seems to go well with the figure. The others are Thomas Chaucer and a Norman soldier of 1066. Apart from adding some scratchbuilt details such as scabbards and axe helves which gad been lost they are standard pieces.

    Hope they are liked.

Thanks Morty. The dragon motif was drawn in free hand with a pencil onto the red background copied from a photo on Tinternet. Then I used acrylic white to fill in followed by burnt number oil for the outline and detailing.

Hi Kev, long time no see. Thanks for the comments. Yes I think it is a Mike Blank figure. I remember reading about the original in the Mil Mod many moons ago. My original head hit the floor and suffered flat nose syndrome. Not a good look for any figure.

Thanks John, I am getting around now on a prosthetic leg which is a lot better than the original :). When I wanted to paint a dragon on a shield, I found I couldn't draw one that small so I had to sculpt one in relief to use as a template. I started painting it before my hospitalisation and it still remains unfinished so I suppose it could be described as grey army with pretensions of colour .

    Best wishes, Gary.

Gary, glad you are on the mend. Amazing what can be done with prosthetics these days. As for your shield, play to your strengths mate. You've always been an amazing sculptor and I'm proud to own one of your best figures. Keep on getting better mate.
    All the best, John

Thank you all for your kind comments. I wish I could have put better pics on but my phone camera isn't brilliant. I hope to do some more with my wife's phone which is better than mine.
