This is my rendition of Brian Blessed who played Duke Thomas Beaufort of Exeter in the 1989 movie Henry V.
I have used Young Miniatures bust of La Hire for this as he has more than a passing resemblance to Brian Blessed. I removed his helmet and created a chain mail hood from milliput. I wanted the armour to look different as I didn't want just plain metal so I gave it more of a leather look. I ditched the axe and replaced it with a homemade flagon of ale to make him look like he is celebrating a victory.

You have made an excellent rendition of this and Kudo's on the chain mail and leather armour.

Looks excellent John....Did this one a couple of years ago and thought it would look great with some sort of jug in his left hand instead of the axe......I was right, it does look great and really fits the bill with the smiling face...I stuck with tradition and stayed with the axe........Oh well....maybe the next one in my dreams.:)

Very nice work with the chain mail John.
The re-positioning of the head and addition of container of 'falling-over juice' works very well.
Excellent painting of your unique exhibit.

    Cheers,
    Andrew

Well done paint work and redoing the head. Never quite caught the Brian Blessed resemblance, but you are certainly right, there is certainly a more than passing resemblance and like Bob said one can just hear his booming voice.
