    Hi folks,

Almost finished this commission for a guy at our club. Its based on a photo of his soon-to-be son in law competing in an Ironman competition in France, a while back.

Sculpted in my usual Milliput over a wire armature and painted in acrylics, in 1/16 scale. It just needs a final matt coat and then a last check over before delivery!

    Thanks for looking,(y) 319926061_850484262839488_8836055283305245694_n.jpg 320201870_714878226483839_474359879703255606_n.jpg 319499962_638223168058351_3484069942760523669_n.jpg 319085789_870311251054838_2464166149923747948_n.jpg 319075898_467173265571315_8885331491684950030_n.jpg 319021420_645388540714126_6477379965872429974_n.jpg 318461037_6021106877947406_1602319170984481407_n.jpg 318613737_3268466620068514_1600801813956151820_n.jpg 319491523_861930655231558_690581961253218987_n.jpg 318613737_3268466620068514_1600801813956151820_n.jpg 318461037_6021106877947406_1602319170984481407_n.jpg 319021420_645388540714126_6477379965872429974_n.jpg 319075898_467173265571315_8885331491684950030_n.jpg 319085789_870311251054838_2464166149923747948_n.jpg 319491523_861930655231558_690581961253218987_n.jpg 319499962_638223168058351_3484069942760523669_n.jpg 319926061_850484262839488_8836055283305245694_n.jpg 320201870_714878226483839_474359879703255606_n.jpg

Thanks chaps! The hounds tooth pattern is three sizes of decal, fitted to the figure. It needed to be crisp and geometric and hand painting it wasn't really an option!! I think it would have exited via a window if I had tried.....!!

Hi Nigel, I printed my own decals for this. I took a houndstooth pattern from the internet, scaled them to the three sizes I needed, then blocked them to make a large enough square of pattern. I printed in black on clear paper, then painted the area where they were to go in gloss white, then it was a case of cutting the panels out, as you would a dressmakers pattern and applying to the figure. There wasnt any Dark Arts or witchcraft involved....(y)

Thanks Valiant for that. When you say you print them onto clear paper, are they water slide or do you just glue them on?
