    Hi Guys

Its been a while, but here is a little thing I hope to have finished for Euro, Its called The Ringmaster and the Acrobat. A little scene of Richthofen and Voss in front of a hack aircraft they used to fly them around if they felt like it, one of only three prototypes of the Albatros CIX (this is scratch built from photographs from Jim Miller), no real changes to be made, well that you would be able to see anyway....... the contrast is far better in the flesh......

and I have just noticed under Voss’ chin that needs a little touching up

Lovely work, Dave. I really love the whole concept of tone of grey. At first,
I thought the scale was 1:32nd or 1:48th since I saw the aft end of that
Albatross, but when I noticed in your text that you scratchbuilt the end of
that Albatross, I realized I was just guessing.

So I'll ask you: What scale is this vignette, kind sir? Will there be news at
Eleven? Inquiring minds want to know. . . :):):)

    Thanks Guys

Rob - just to let you know, its actually painted in black and white, not colour turned Greyscale....

Rick - 1/32 scale to answer your question.....

Now that's flat brilliant! The figures are posed perfectly, and the sepia/black & white feel of the piece is executed so well, just superb!

Another must see on the vignettes display along with Allans, facinating effect.
Grass on the base looks completely convincing.

Dave, that is out-freakin'-standing! Hats off for the concept, let alone the execution. Now I have even more reason to await the Euro photos, looking to see this little gem.
    Best regards, Don

    Dave,

Amazing work! I remember you telling me about your plans for this at MFCA. Really cool to see it finished. I never thought I'd see our figures in black & white !LOL!! Good luck at Euro with it.

Ha ha, I thought you black-and-whited the pics but after a few I got the message!
    Brilliant painting, very convincing!
    The figures fit together well.

    Cheers,
    Adrian
