    Hi all,
I got this one in the mail the other day and got started on it right away. Its a great little sculpt with lots of detail. So far I have got the skin tones started they look a bit red to me but I haven't found a Gnome to gauge the skin tones on yet :cautious:. The shirt and vest are still being worked on, as are the eyes.
As always it's all in acrylics, feel free to critique and thanks for looking.

    Andrew.

    Hello Andrew:

I almost feel ashamed to mention the following as I look at how beautifully
you have rendered the facial tones. I wish I could do that well.

However, my opinion is that, and your realize it is just an opinion, the Iris of
the eyes are just a "bit" too small. My opinion is that you would want to
enlarge the iris in each eye just a tad larger.

However, what you have done so far, is just beautiful.

    Thanks Fellas,
Tony my flesh mix is easy, I use reaper acrylics so any tone from their flesh range depending on how light or dark I want the finished skin and then I add a tiny amount of clotted blood and a little brown ink and change the ratio to suit the skin tone I am looking for. Then a lot of thin layers of just the brown ink and clotted blood together to build up contrast in the cheeks and temple areas (and the nose on this guy). For highlights I just use polished bone and wash over it with diluted skin mixtures to blend it all together.

Very cool. He is looking very nice. I agree with the Jayhawker on the iris comment but all else is fantastic so far.
