This is one of the latest figures from the Italian based company Bestsoldiers, The Mercenary. Figure Sculpted by Antonio Zapatero with box art from Luca Olivieri. 75mm in scale and is cast in 22 white metal parts. All parts are contained in a sturdy foldable box sandwiched between three layers of foam for protection during transport.

A close up of the head and the breast plate of the figure shows the quality of detail that has been sculpted and cast into the figure. The casting of the parts is very clan with a minimal of cleanup of seam lines.

Test fitting of the right leg to the main torso shows that it keys in perfectly with no major gaps for filling.

A test fit of the head and hat can been here from three different angles, fitting is good, blue tak was used for the purpose of the review to hold the parts in place. Again we can see a close up and the attention to detail.

Once the right leg is in position the four sections of the bottom section of the skirt can be attached at the location points shown in the image below, the parts have been cleverly designed to go over the top of the joint between the leg and the main body.

The components of the sword and right hand are cast in three parts with the scabbard being a separate part, careful removal the mould sprus is required for the smaller fragile parts.

    Image9.jpg

Good attention and detail is shown in the feathers and other remaining parts of this figure.

    Image10.jpg

The base has two locating points for the feet of the figure and two ground spikes with location points

    Conclusion:

Another fine release and great addition to the range of figures that Marco is producing at Bestsoldiers. Casting of all parts is good with sharp detail on all parts and very nice level of detail. Test fitting of the parts is very precise and there is only a minimal of cleanup of all parts. Highly Recommended.
