I took all of the great advice and used as well as I could. Many lessons learned from this figure. Number one is that I will stick with oils 99% of the time!
I am not happy with the blue as I cannot get the hang of transitioning with acrylics and painting a white plume is a royal pain. I am happy with my progress with flesh tones and painting faces. Next up I will focus on the eyes on my next bust.
I did discover a new technique that I will refine and i have to thank Jay for pushing me to wash my gold and yellows. I had a little too much wash on my brush and it covered more than washed. In desperation I grabbed a q-tip and soaked up the excess wash. I then noticed that when I rubbed a little harder the yellow really popped. Thanks Jay.

I am still working on the mounted Crusader but he is complicated figure and I am really taking my time on this one. I am trying to decide which bust to start next. Decisions, decisions.....

Tommi, Many thanks and I am feeling more confident.

Marcel, Thanks for the compliment. I will probably stay away from large areas of acrylics in the future!
