Hi all just like to announce the forthcoming release from TFB Miniatures. It’s called The Duel and is set during the English Civil War. It’s in 75mm and was sculpted by our good friend Igor (Master on here).
I will inform you of release date soon

From painting of Rupert at Edghill nearly exactly, albeit painting shows slightly stouter horses…which might well have been to convey emotion and power in the painting

Hi Grasshopper yes it was based on a painting, we think it worked out quite well Igor captures the moment quite well.

Hi Ora thank you for the kind words.

Captured the dynamics perfectly. Just googled the picture, it will be a colourful piece when painted.
    Congratulations

  6. Yes, one to buy I think!. That there is no way to tell which side either figure is fighting for is interesting. Either soldier can be wearing pretty much any colour coat. Even the sash colours could be worn by either or both sides in a battle. Maybe an officer of the Earl of Manchester’s Regiment of Horse fighting a trooper of Prince Ruperts’s Lifeguard…or an officer of Prince Rupert’s regiment fighting a trooper of the Earl’s regiment.

Hi clubcat thank you for the kind comments, it will be very colourful indeed

Andrew yes you could do a few combinations with this one. The art work it’s based on is quite colourful in its self. We are looking at November as a release date. We will post when it’s ready to ship thanks again

Thanks..the posting system didn’t like me..that’s the image..can’t find an artist attribution tho..just the image…your piece is more realistic than the painting where I find Rupert’s thrust out of whack with the horse’s head and neck..you had more of a turn to its head allowing the sword arm to cross over ..in the painting the things is a bit goofy to me

Hi Grasshopper, yes the painting is very fanciful and kinda out there. Igor has made it more interesting and full of action.

I don’t know who the artist is could not find the name but is a nice piece of art.

    What's up with the reins?
  16. Steve headley A Fixture

    Hi Bundook

this is just a mock up the reins will be made from foil.

Igor just put them on to give people an idea of what they will look like. So nothing wrong with the reins.

    Hope that helps
