Here is an in progress picture of my new version of Alice. This one won't be leaving me like the other two did.

I thought the version that Bethea got from you was amazing, but that one is even better.

I think I have been staring at this one for the longest time from all versions I had seen so far. Lovely work Mike.

Fantastic!! How do you do the transparent clothing? Do you airbrush or brush? Is there a tutorial on how to do this? I have this same figure and hope to do a fraction as well as you on this one. I have seen the other two and think this is the best also.

thanks fellas, I think she is my favorite too. The one that Bob has was really special but I am glad he has it in his collection, plus I got one of his really cool figures in trade.

Nick; you can do the sheer effect with either AB or brush. I used a combo on this girl but the bulk was done with the AB. My hotline figure was all brush but the AB is way faster. I am trying to figure out how to do a good tutorial on it, maybe with a little video too. If you can, pick up the book by Julio Cabos from Andrea press called "painting pinups" it is a great resource for painting female figures. Thank you for the kind words sir.

    Amazing work as always Mike!
You should do a tutorial on the sheer effects, I'd be very interested in seeing that-

Great work. I specially like the translucent effect between the white and skin tone. A difficult challenge very well solved. The ground is superb too, the violet mushroom is a cool variant.

    That is quite stunning mate.

You've nailed the sheer fabric and also the subtleness of flesh tones needed for females.
    The base is stunning also.

    Outstanding piece in every way.

At the Dallas Lone Star I remember seeing your version with the red/violet clothing which, if I recall correctly, you painted some with gouache?? I could be wrong. Out of all the mini's and busts at that show, that's one of the ones I remember the most. You achieved amazing effects with the gouache on that mini (and please correct me if I'm wrong on that medium). It was very realistic and a stellar standout. However, this one you have here is a jaw-dropper for me. I purchased this figure not long after the Dallas show, but have not yet started on it. Whites are something I'm still struggling with... what you've done with the whites here, the sheer clothing, you've absolutely nailed it! This is the best version I've seen and a big inspiration.
