    For anyone interested in the cavalry of the Imperial German Army pre-1914 do yourself a big favour and check these books out. They are long out of print but can be picked up very cheaply secondhand.

    True..but the pickings get slim our side of the water..of course my interests are more the context, historical implications vs the respect a book I found in a used book store in tiny village. Worlds Greatest War has been fun..published in Canada..with photos predating trench warfare ..listing as well every canadian officer that had gone with the first expeditionary object of history rather than book on history.
