Excellent vignette Guenther! Very nice composition and colours.
Great figures by Dragon as well. Plastic figures have come a long way.

And the Kiwis, including Maori Battalion , along with Indians help "soften" it up ;)
This battle was a very significant part of our WW2 history.

Impressed with what you managed to achieve with Dragon figures Gunther.
Have you modified, converted or cleaned them up in any way? Eg Hornet heads or hands!
Especially like the way the hands grip the weapons & heft of the Bren.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Stay safe,
    Mike

When I was young in the railway station of Cassino there were some pictures of the town after the battle, a big amount of ruines. Looking at your work I felt exactly the same sensation ... very very impressive work.

Lovely work, Günther! I remember this set - they were the first figures I painted when I got back into the hobby 13 years ago (and they certainly did not look like yours!)

Superb painting, groundwork and composition (y) Your skill has turned this plastic set into some top notch figures

    Hello friends
many many thanks for your nice comments.

Unfortunatly I´´ve not done any in progress photos.
I´ve a step by step report of figure painting on my blog.

    Hi Mike
I haven´t modified anything on the figures. They are original out of the box.
The heads and hands are ok and therefore I didn´t change.
    PS:
Congratulation for your fantastic box art painting for Tommy´s War.

    Francesco, I feel very touched!

Even more impressed now Gunther with what you've managed to achieve.
I may have to have another look at these wee fellows :)

Appreciate kind comment on Tommy''s boxart.
You set the standard to follow & it was only your decision to move on that gave others the opportunity to be part of the Tommy's story.
    Thanks mate!

Simply marvellous and nice to see Allied troops rather than german paratroopers in Monte Cassino!
