Nice work Roc. The white came out excellent. I really like the helmet. Did you do an SBS on it, I can't remember reading it. Roger

    Hey Roc,

Not bad at all. Have you been doing this long  ? I like how you've tied everything together, the dirty shield matches well with the ground he stands on & the taller plants flow in the same direction as the Roman. Beautiful work, as usual. What's next?

Roc, I'll have to rate this (y) (y) . Terrific work. I really like the groundwork. It "sets" the figure off well. I've been saving all of your pictures from this figure so these have already joined your earlier ones. Trully magnificent work. I'm sure there will be plenty others that are going to heap the praise on (deservedly so ;) ) you so I'll not "steal their thunder". Great job Roc. Now if only I could manage to see this in person one day.

    Roc-

As I said earlier, thanks for all the SBS and photo's. I got alot out of your leather and armor explanations.

I do sort of miss the purple felt background material, though

Seriously... what is next on the bench for you?

Rogers , thanks , much appreciated.
I did a step by step on bronze, but just in case you missed it here goes:

    Bronze

Undercoat = apple barrel acrylic brown.

    1- Base = Testors gold + Sepia.
    2- shadow = Sepia.
3- High light = Rose's gold powder rich gold.

I applied the base color very smoothly with a flat brush.
After waiting a half hour , I gently rubbed some gold powder to all the highlight areas.
Than I very carefully applied the shadows.

Placed figure in the oven for two days at 140 degrees, when completely dry,I will accentuate highlights and deepen shadows.

    Cheers
