My new vignette is finished .
It's a scene from the book the adventures of Hucleberry Finn by M.Twain .
The figures are based upon the coverart of the book. One of the many releases.
I wanted to capture the action and adventure on the Mississippi between two of the characters .

The raft is made from plastic card and plastic tubes covered with milliput for the trees.

The Jim figure ( a runaway slave ) is made from green stuff ( knetadine/duro ) and some details with tamyia yellow putty .The head comes from the hornet range .
The boy is a slightly converted piece from the Andrea range .
The assecoires are from various scrap boxes( verlinden , historex , unicorn , etc )

In most illustrations there is always a tent mounted upon the raft . Because of limited space I deceided to create only the front . As seen in the next pictures .

All was painted using acrylics and oils .

top showing the setting on the raft .

The water is made in several stages using Vallejio acryl based gel and artificial water , colored with vallejio paints .

And now back to the drawing board form the next one .
