This fella is proving to be somewhat trouble some, either that or I've gone completely back handed since last week. I decided to do the habit lapels properly and have so far added buttons from my punch and die set. The button loops and tassels will be next. The end of the sash has been started and as it holds his sword it is sculpted somewhat proud of the plastic on the middle, more detail work needs to be done there. To facilitate painting the breeches and inside of the coat tails the legs and torso aren't currently joined firmly, just a couple of pegs and this is where my main problems are encountered. Add a bit remove a bit test fit and do it again and again.

As Victor pointed out above the legs on this fella are really rather long so he's going to be a tall chap. I also took off the detail on the outer seam of the legs and replaced it with my usual.post it note paper as the reference I'm working off of has a straight gold seam ornament. I also want to remake the boot top tassles with something a little larger and more blingie.

LOL cheers David, I have to keep.myself busy when I'm not grandfathering. That and it takes my mind off the pain so I'm doing as much as I can.

I was never very tall, 5'10" and after the army I was officially 5'9" on discharge. One skill I had to teach myself in the army was how to sew, since I have to hem every pair of jeans I buy the army caused and solved the problem for me! Don't know whether to be pleased about that or not.

Disaster struck this morning, I lost the bag of bits for this figure! I searched my desk top moving everything, I cleared under the desk and through all three drawers in my desk pedestal, nothing it was gone.

A couple of hours later I discovered I had removed the contents of the bag and put all the bits in one of the tubs I keep on my desk for different projects. Relieved that I hadn't binned it all o still don't recall transferring the bag contents and that's not just because I was a little hung over. My memory is shocking these days.

So panic over I got some progress made, I swapped the head for an NCO Historex resin one and following Victor's example I lengthened the neck a bit, it looks much better now. I have added the button loops from wine bottle top foil and tassels from Magicsculpt, also replaced the boot top tassels with Magicsculpt. I made a start on disguising the join in his mid riff but still have to build a lot of that area. His sword now has a pin to secure it to his sash and I'm building the bottom of the sash around the sword. Oh and redid the seam lace on the back of the habit with green post it paper.

I totally identify with the memory blank, as well. Had a rather embarrassing exchange with one of my team today, who very politely reminded me that he was doing what I'd advised him to do earlier this month.
