I echo everything the others have said, particularly great skin tones.
Makes me want to try a napoleonic.
Regards
Derek

Hi Derek,

Thanks so much, you are really kind, and please do try with a napoleonic, is a pleasure and you have a great variaty of subjects to play with.

Right guys, a small update.

I've finish to paint the base for the trims (?) I will finish these in oils.

I've also touch up slightly the white to make a more subtle transition between shadow and highlights.

Last but not least I've scratched to bare mtal the buttons and all the metal parts to paint these in gold with transparent paints.

A new update after easter.

Ciao

Back at work

Hi all,

I'm now back o the little friend here.

I've managed to finish the whites, doing the drummer and short sword belt, also finished the embroidery and the metals on the vest and on the chin straps.

Still needs to touch up the shoulders straps and few other things, but the oil paint is fresh so I need to wait.

You may notice alos that the back, where the haversack will be placed is really bad painted, but will be covered so why waiste time?

Next step (when I'll be back from holiday) will be the blacks!

Let me know what you think.

Ciao

Giovanni
