Someone on the forum was asking about water soluble oils recently but I can't remember who and which thread but most of the oils used on this fig. are W&N water soluble.

A real dandy. A little more light on the figure when you make the photo and I could see a little bit more. You must remember "I am old and my eyes are old;)"

Thanks very much Ulrich.... too much Bavarian weizen makes you go blind, I don't know how those Scotsmen managed to get home. :D

I'm ignoring the insult to my adopted Bavaria and her beer...

Great finish, Roger, and once again, nice work with your shadows, especially on the buff pieces of clothing. A nice addition to your cabinet!

    Prost!

Thanks very much Brad. There's a few Prussians in that cabinet now. ;)

Did you adopt Bavaria or did it adopt you? :D

Looks really nice. I've tried the Winsor Newton water based oils and I didn't like them that much. Grumbacher makes a line of water mixable oils that I think are much better. Still like regular oils better though.:)

    Thanks very much.
I initially bought the water mixable oils because I was under the impression that the smell of oils, thinners etc. wouldn't be too popular with the rest of the household as I paint in a corner of the dining room, I now know better and normal oils are creeping into my paint box too. :)
