Here's the finished project. I've learned many things on this.

SUPERB

Gret composition, sculpting, painting, groundwork, everything. Just perfect.

Thanks for sharing,

Gino ;)

My mouth is still hanging open............awesome work.....sculpting and painting..........I'll be drooling all night!!

Thanks gang. I'm pretty pleased with it. I still have to glue the figures down. I'm waiting for the final oil coat to dry and to see if that inevitable flaw or spot of missed paint shows up.

Lou, the rocks are simply Magic-Sculp pushed into shape and given a Sepia wash. After I added all the vegetation I gave the whole thing a shot of matte acrylic varnish. The result was what you see. It was not what I intended, but a Bob Ross "Happy accident". Thanks for the high praise.

John, Very very very nice John. I really like the look of the Natives, especially the warpaint. I hope it inspires someone else to do some Woodland Indians and do them the justice you have.~Gary (y)

Thanks all. I got lots of good advice along the way.

A special thanks to Gary Dombrowski for the encouragement and references to get it right.

Saw this in person the other night I swear John even put in the seed tics in the under brush, this to me is a piece that you can look at again and again and see something new . And thank you again for the hands on painting lesson.

John,
Duuuuuuuuuuuuude, that looks awesome - simply awesome. I think what caught my eye at first was the facepaint, especially how it's transluscent and shows hints of the original fleshtones. What scale is this?

John,

It has been said already but I will say it again...AWESOME! Your best to date. I like how you handle your groundwork, it just brings it all together.

Joe
