    Thanks guys!

    John,

Yes, its called a boot, and its a leather 'cylinder' with a bottom that is strapped to the outside of the stirrup. I imagine the Swedes probably had something similar but choose to do it this way as to not constrain the position of the flag pole and the positions of the leg.

    I like it a lot!
But then of course it might be because Im Swedish.
I suppose you will add spurs? Nimix has two sets that could be of good use.

    Cheers

    Thanks Janne and Mitsutaka!

Janne, yes, he will have spurs added as well as a few other details here and there. The figure was just roughly glued together so it could be brought to the APG show in Gettysburg. I am also in the planning stages of another (pretty big!) Swedish related project, one which I am sure you will recognize!

Now that we're backfrom the show, it's time to put some paint on him, stay tuned!

    Hi Anders.

Very good looking "ryttare".:D One note, during Battle of Narva Swe-Fin army didn't have three cornered hats. At least have got that info when studying that time uniforms. Some had "karpus" others wide brimmed hat with one side turned up, but no three corners at that time i'm afraid. It became later in use during Great northern war. Still just exellent work. Karolin figures are always so close to my heart.:D
