    Absolutely Amazing work

Apart from this being an example of extremely professional painting. You have what I believe, achieved what Planet Figure is all about.
That is, the unselfish detailed way you have explained to us how to at least attempt to better our skills showing your techniques backed up with brilliant photos.
    Many thanks for sharing.

Tony! ... :) Thanks and see the update below.... ;) Thanks again

    Steve .... Thank you!! :)

    Carl .... Cheers :)

Grant .... Thank you, your too kind :) The thing with PF and the internets, I learnt to paint in acrylics and got good solid advice and encouragement for free! You gotta give back a little bit more than you took, and we all win :)

    Adrian ... Thanks! :)

As Tony pointed out in the preceding comments, the whole was looking a bit monotone. I had considered pushing that as hard as I could so that the redness of the face stood out starkly against the uniform and snow....

However Stu sculpted a scarf jammed around the neck and filling the gap between the toque and the coat collar and gave me carte blanch on it :)

So I used the colours and design I used on the 120mm fig I am also working on!

GW Shadow Grey for a mid. Highlight is base + AV Light Flesh and shader is GW Regal Blue.. The yellow stripy bits are just GW Golden yellow applied thinly and built up to full intensity on the highlights only :)

This breaks up the colour of the Field grey but remains a cool colour ( mostly )

I like how it looks ( and remember a fair bit of snow will be down in that collar ) what do you think?

    :)

This is lookin ab fab my friend. The blue for the scarf not only breaks things up but makes him look even colder somehow. Superb

    Hi Mark,

Very well done mate. I agree with Stu, the blue scarf makes him look even colder than before.

Brrrrrrrrrrrriliant touch, the cold blue of the scarf adds to them feeling of misery.

The gun is fixed in place now and a short paper sling was added from the mounting point at the business end :)

Got to paint and finish them now .....

The white cloth is almost there, a little more work to tighten it up ...
