    Some progress ....

Nothing is finished and I need to do some more work on the tunic, especially his left arm.

    Further progress....

Detail painting is under-way on the top half of our fellow. Still not entirely happy with some areas of the tunic so they will need work...

Coming along well Mark. Are the trousers light grey/white? If they are should be a good contrast, to the tunic.

    fanbloodytastic Mark!!

I love your painting and the confidence to add such contrast to skin tones which is very difficult to master.

    Carl ... Cheers! Grey trousers .... :)

Dave ... Many thanks! The high contrast is not to everyone's taste but I really enjoy pushing it as far as possible ( for me ;) )

Water bottle, powder horn and various fittings well on the way! Trousers are brush painted and about 40% done :)

Fantastic work so far Mark, looks like you are on a roll with these Napoleonic figures.

Thank you David :) I must admit that I can really see the appeal of Napoleonic figures :)

    Details and finishes .....

Work continues on the various fittings and the pants are about 95% done, head and right arm are fixed in place and need a tiny line of filler :)

White balance is slightly off on this shot :(

    Simon ... Many thanks :)

Carl ... Thanks again! :) You know me and details ;)

Work on the Baker rifle is about finished and it's blu-tacked for a try-out on position. I used NMM for the rifle and kept it pretty high contrast with a gloss finish to pick up environmental light ..... Bucket woods are almost finished too :)

Yes but clear or muddy, if it represents the morning of the battle of Waterloo it would be clear as it rained heavily the night before, however if it's during or after the battle I would suggest a more...................:D :D
    Mark excellent painting and following.(y)

Very funny Carl and Ken ... You could start a double act ... ;)

Slow progress this week as I've had a holiday so been mucking about gardening, walking and doing personal projects...

However I did the sling on the rifle. Textured pastel paper as always with a stretched sprue and Vallejo Acrylic putty buckle ... and a bit of a better white balance :)
