Hi Kaz. Very good start. Because I have finished the 120mm stormtrooper from Jon Smith, I will start now with the same bust as you

    HI Kaz

Vallejo Black primer looks good, I have a lot of trouble spraying Vallejo
it always seems to clog the brush or far to thin and runs, any tips

Thanks a lot gordy, Tony, and Ronald!
I've been a little bit busy on doing other things these days so I'm really a slow hand...be patient with my long term WIP. :)

Yes, I think Vallejo black primer is good for acrylic-main-painter. I thinned it 1:1 ratio before I airbrush it with 0.3mm hand-piece, it works fine for me.

I use water bottle with eyedrops type cap, it's easy to check ratio.

It's not the easiest of faces to paint, but you're doing a brilliant job.

Thank you very much Carl, David. This is one of the hardest figure to paint for me.

Still struggling with face...I repainted many areas, tryin' "adding green and purple on face for shadow" method.

I feel it needs a little bit more "kick", but I still haven't found what it is.

Any advice and comments are welcomed. I accept any kind of straightforward critiques.

Looks great to me Kaz and i know these Young's faces can be a pain to paint.
My opinion is to move on to the rest of the bust and come back again for some fine tuning if you are not satisfied then.

Thanks a lot for your comment, Dimitrios, gordy!

I'm glad you understand what I feel. Yes this figure is a great sculpture, perfectly and beautifully sculpted, but it's hard to paint...I don't know why. Maybe it's too good to paint for me? LOL I don't know...

Thanks for your advice, Yes I'm not satisfied with this yet, I feel almost like drip it onto my thinner bottle! :)

Kaz the face is great!!! Don’t put it in thinner!!! I know what you mean sometimes things just don’t paint as you expected, maybe a day or two break will make the difference .
