I am sorry I did not post too many photos of this figure while I was painting it. I had only 8 days after I recieved it in the mail ttto have the box art photos back to The Lost Battalion so they could premier this figure this weekend at Atlanta. Here are the photos I did take.

13 piece resin kit including wire provided for powderhorn strap

Prime and drill and peg to work dowork blocks for painting

Prepare resin for tube oil flesh

After flesh has dried under 60watt bulb, start the rest of the figure in blending and shading.

Assemble upper torso and lower torso and apply war paint with Cadium Red tube oils

I will continue the process in the next posting

Here are the final shots of the progression toward the finished figure. John has sculpted alot of excellent beadwork into the belt and pouch, leg wrappings and shoes and were easy to paint with being so well done.

Now I will start the Rogers Ranger and mount the 2 together on the base below. I was originally going to use this base for a 40mm Indian scene, but decided to use it for the French and Indian Vignette. The waterfall will be replaced and the trees will be re-positioned on top.

I have placed the Mohican on the top of the base prior to fastening the resin base that came with the kit. I will remove the resin base and mount the Mohican with brass pegs to the re-worked base with the Rogers Ranger on the left when complete.
