Standardbearer-Royal Guard Grenadeers (Romeo)

Hi everybody,

This is my next project on the workbench.
It's the standardbearer from the Royal Guard Grenadeers from the Kingdom of Naples, 1812.
The casting is excellent with hardly andy moldlines. And the fantastic sculpture is from Maurizio Bruno. With the great Box-art painted by Danilo.

I started painting the face first as usual and after several hours of work I think it's almost done. Can't do much better than this. Still have to correct some minor things. The beard on the sides still needs some more work. And the bearskin has some highlights but also isn't finished yet.

Marcel, a very nice start to a fine figure, the face looks very nice, if the rest of the figure turns out as good as the face you will have a real stunner. I also purchased this figure when it first came out, it’s not really my period of interest but there was just something about it that I liked. I will be following this one

Here an update on the standardbearer. I did some additional work on the face and finished the rest of the head. Finished also the blue jacket and braidwork. Still have to do some touchups here and there. The white trousers still need some extreme shadows and the back part isn't finished yet. I started basecoating the arms and flag and hope to finish these parts soon.
