Looking fabulous so far. Did you use a jig for making the braiding (It looks like one continuous piece has been used)

    Cheers Paul :)

May I ask how you made the buttons too? (It's something I always struggle with)

This is going to be another ripper of a figure. I admire your talent, skill and patience Paul. Just amazing work on such a small scale.

Afte a 1,5y break following the birth of my daughter, I could finally resume working on the figure and am now ready to start the painting phase.

Also note I changed the base for a diagonal positioning which suits the figure better IMHO (and following a recommendation from Ivo Preda last year).

This is quite superb (and could be a British Light Dragoon as well).

You and Ivo Preda are my 2 favorite masters. I am still in awe over your kettledrummer. Why do you prefer sheet metal (lead foil?) for the belting over say, electrical tape? I will follow this project closely.

I've been using lead straps since my first modelling days because they were the standard back then. Having sufficient stock of lead foils for the next two or three décades I do not feel like changing for something else.

Glad that my kettledrummer had some success, another one is on the bench!

That is beautiful work!. The position of the horse and rider looks so natural. I am interested to see how you manage to paint what is now pretty much a single piece- very envious of your skill in this regard because I know I couldn't do it!! Regards Pete
