The sculpting is very good,but is this a buffalo soldier? He looks quite dark

The Roman Army had Nubians and North Africans in the legions so this is historically correct if the features are meant to be those of a Black African.

Another great release from Alexandros! Beautiful sculpting from Mr. Laruccia and fantastic painting by Alexandre. I know it is a very contentious subject, but I really like the depiction of this figure as a North African or Nubian.

Wow. Beautiful figure and I like Roman subjects. As far as I know the Legion I Adiutrix served along the Danube, Germania Province so I having some questions about a black Vexillarius. Maybe Dr. Mike Thomas will chime in on this.
