    Folks -

Looking for my next couple figure purchases and ran across these two.
I wanted to get some comments on folks familiar with these manuf.
1.) Ranger from Des kits. Wonderful scuplt from Laurent. I had heard that earlier Des kits were similar in quality to Dragon.

2.) Spahi WW1. Intriguing pose and features. I have not seen any figure from JMD Miniatures. Comments on the manuf and accuracy of the piece are welcome.

    Thanks!

    Keith

    Hola Keith,

I have seen figures from both manufacturers. They are both really nice. Here is an example of the quality of JMD figures. They are super nice, scale out to about 65mm (1/30th scale).

Can't comment on the Ranger, but the Spahi is bang on the money accurate in uniform and equipment, right down to the carbine and turbin. Great pose, too!

    All the best,
    Dan

Anders and Dan --- Thanks very much for the comments. That was exactly what I was hoping to hear. :)

I especially like the Spahi. Altough, I supoose I expected a leaner cavalryman.

The pose, with the mid back up against a fence rail, might project the belly a bit? Whaddyathink? Or he could just be a slightly less than lean Spahi. Anyways I like 'em! If you want to do consider some different colors or shading, and you want some Great War bxw and color images of Spahis to work from, let me know. Don't have all that much on Spahis, but you're welcome to 'em.

    All the best,
    Dan
