The Soviet Airborne Corps and Airborne Brigade, having their heroic and tragic operations, made a great contribution to the victory, gained the first tactical experience of such operations, making jumps in unimaginable conditions, sometimes not designed for this aircraft, testing the first serious development amphibious parachutes.

    Very nice sujet!
Matches very well with the scout and the pilot!

    Some background:

In the 1930s, the Red Army was the world leader in terms of deployment, design, tactics and equipment of the new weapon class "Airborne Soldiers" - the Germans also looked out for their new "paratroopers".

The troupe was called "VBV", the abbreviation of "Vozdushno-desantnyye voyska" (Воздушно-десантные войска, ВДВ), which means "Airborne troops".

Here a Gavatter from the enemy field post number has appropriated one...:

For some reason I do not know, these highly specialized soldiers were used almost exclusively as infantrymen during the war.

    Cheers

P.S. Next one maybe a sniper in full cover suit...?
