Many of you know the first photo from the 1st World War. About 13 or 14 years ago Markus Eckmann had sculpted a figure for me, because I wanted to have this scene as a vignette. Later the column (made from Alan Ball) was added and finally it is finished. The bike is a bit too big, but I couldn't find a wheel for 75 mm figures. It's astonishing that you still finish ancient projects after all.

Lovely scene and good work everyone.
Someone ( maybe Jon Smith) should do the whole scene in 1/35 or 1/32. In 1/35 ICM produces the neccessary equipment and even a WW2 bike which can surely be backdated. But the column creeps me out so I often dreamed about but never tried.

Nice idea. Markus Eckmann had published a part of that scene in75mm. I have the ICM bike here and it is great and can surely be backdated. I had enough photos form WW1.

And thank you all very much

    Hi Ulrich

Liked the idea from the start and you have recreated the scene well on both the figure and the basework

    Thanks for sharing
