    Hi all,

So, just build the base today , mainly using balsa and compressed foam...

with a modified Alpine figure... Added bar gun, binoculars and untucked the shirt with extra buttons....head will need to be replaced and add glasses (anyone know which brand carries fine 1/35 etched glass?)

Pls critics and I need to get more improvement and correction if any major flaw before start painting..
    Thanks

I cannot see any flaws whatsoever. The composition is so "photographic".This is going to be an absolute stunner and a competition piece.I can't wait to see it finished.

That was quick! Looking great Allan, no fault to find!

As to the specs rather than photo etch you could use two disks punched from a thin transparent sheet of plastic and paint the side edges as the frame.

    Looking forward to the result!

    Cheers,
    Adrian

Hi guys, thanks for the encouraging comment... Will speed up the completion

Hi Adrian, thanks for the great idea, I think your suggestions is much more realistic specs in this scale , now need to find a good punch set cause mine only hexagon :(

A suggestion - clear acetate make nice lenses in spectacles. You can buy presentation covers or something similar in office supply shops or from Amazon. "Hot Off The Press Heat Resistant Acetate, 8.5 by 11-Inch, 5-Pack " or Grafix Ink Jet Film, 8-1/2-Inch by 11-Inch, 6-Pack, Clear from Amazon in US. Then use a hole punch to cut the lenses. For spectacle frames themselves, you could cut them out of lead foil but photo etch spectacle frames look better.

    All the best,
    Dan

Didn't Verlinden put out some 1/35 scale photoetch eyeglass frames? Or were they only 120MM?
