Thank you for your kindness Stellios!

I hope I can bring something to the table, that's maybe a little different. The half figures give you more scope to create the story, that moment in time. that is so often missing in a true bust! I know not everyone like the half figure.
But as sculptors we need to create new themes, formats and genres, that are hopefully embraced by the modelling community. Over the years I have seen the hobby take huge strides forward, in terms of quality, anatomy, posture and in turn painting.
it is quite simply the best it has ever been. Never was it more evident than in the competition room at Euro this year. Not only was it a record number of entries, but also a record standard of work for me!
Everyone one who walked away with an award this year should be extremely proud of their efforts, because you earned your award!

I have no idea how many pieces I have sculpted over the years Stelios. Too many to count! Lol!
If you count all the gallery and giftwork, its many hundreds if not thousands!

Like I said too many... LOL

I second that, and like the idea of a half-body bust, of course it will be more $$$$ but give us more challenge and better results...Great job Carl...keeping coming with MORE if possible; some Busts of Napoleonic retreating from Moscow 1812....

Mine 4th heavy dragoon is on the way ...

    Regards

    Hi Martin.

Red coat with green facings (4th Dragoons only) on the collar and cuffs and white lace with silver buttons. White pipe clayed belts, black cocked hat with black cockade.
