Sorry I haven't been posting much lately. I haven't been painting much either but managed to finish up this 54mm Sioux Hunter (actually 62mm to the eyes). Its finished on a Ken Thomas base and painted in enamels, oils and acrylics.
All comments welcomed. Thanks for taking a look.
Just freakin excellent!!!!!! You paint your knowledge right into the piece and its obvious that you have an in depth familiarity with this time period and subject matter!
Absolutely love the reds and fabric design. The base is perfect to the piece as usual makes a great presentation!
So what did you think of dropping down to the little 54's ?
Beautiful figure, full of detail. You've got a "redskin" skin tone perfectly. I especially like the drawings of clothing footwear and detail of the snowshoes. The base, of course, is perfect for the theme.
Beautiful job Guy. And the base sets it off to perfection.
La Meridiana do some cracking figures and I've had my eye on this one myself for a while. Now seeing what you've done with it has just bumped it up a few notches on my "hit list". A very inspirational paint! Thanks for sharing.
Excellent and beautiful Guy.
The idea of your base is very wonderful.
The combination of the figure and the base is very cool.
I think a dramatic work.
I congratulate completion.
