Nice pieces in there own right... but those horses need riders ;)

(just a thought: put the rooks/castles on the horses as true knights and have a Castellan, perhaps symbolically holding the keys to the castle instead?)

Don't know how well the paintwork would stand up to actual play (get the white cotton gloves out?).

... and I daren't ask the price

And if you do have to ask the price, it means you can't afford it. :nailbiting:

Judging by the standard of paintwork, which is very good, but not outstanding, we are probably looking at a 6-7k figure.

    Hi Guys

Interesting set to produce , painted well and obviously not cheap !!! .....but obviously a one off purchase

Must comment on the actual surround on the chess board ..looks great wonder if it's hand painted

    Thanks for sharing

    Happy benchtime

Yes, the chess board is hand painted.
It was a long project (it took little less than 1 year to complete). A lot of small troubles happened on all the stages and the process was quite slow.
I am happy it's done at last)

Fabulous work and probably more intended as a display piece rather than an actual play unit as I can't imagine the paint holding up pristine if used regularly with sweat or skin oils etc on the fingers. As I said, it would be magnificent however as an artistic display piece.
