The mojo is flowing so I thought I’d crack on with this little beauty. Love the series of Roman busts brought out by FeR Miniatures. Base coating in Jonsonja acrylics after priming with Tamiya white primer.

    Thanks Nap and Steve.

I made a bit of progress on the face last night. Still a long way to go, but I’m feeling the mojo flowing.

Thanks again fellas. I appreciate your comments.
Here’s where I finished last night. I still have some work to do on the eyes and then the cheek guards will go on.

Wow John, love the eyes and I know they are not finished yet. I'm glad you have shown a close up of the face, it shows how you build up the flesh tones. Brilliant.

Thanks again for your comments guys.

Another session tonight. Added some Venetian red around the eyes and nose and finished the eyes. Not sure whether to gloss the eyes or add catch lights. What do you guys think?

    Hi Tony

That's looking really good the tones are showing nicely ...as for the eyes .....will you put a catchlight in ?

Varnish ....it's a personal choice IMO ...sometimes I use a 50/50 mix of gloss and Satin with a catchlight

    Just my thoughts

Look forward to more from you

    Happy benchtime
