I have had this bust for a while and after seeing a beautifully painted one on here thought I would have a go.
He comes in 7 parts of resin and white-metal beautifully moulded by Dolman Miniatures, with just a bit of seam cleaning up and pouring block tidying.



Washed and primed and started on the eyes in acrylics.




Then left to dry I started blocking in the base colours for the uniform.



Continued with head using Artist's oils



This will now be left 48 hours to fully dry, so I continued blocking in the rest of the uniform base colours.



I still have the lanyards, cross-belt, button, badges, etc still to block in but that will have to wait to later in the week.

Looking good so far Geoff. I just received the 75mm version of this one, so I am following your progress closely. May I ask what colors you used for the khaki?

I used Vallejo ModelColor Flat Earth 983/143, that is a thinned coat as an initial base coat. and thanks.

I've done a bit more today, been away on Dartmoor for a short break.

Fixed arm in place and gave the khaki another wash, happy with it now, also the cords and crossbelt given a coat of White Grey. Buttons given a base coat of Dark Sea Green.
