Hello,

This is my version of Latorre's well known Confederate cavalry figure. Hope you like it. Thanks for looking.

Nice painting Edward specially the fleshtones and the grey´s.
Pedro.

Nice to see a version of the figure, haven't seen one in a while. That grey turned out nicely Edward, very smooth.

On your photos, they're quite grainy and it gets in the way of appreciating the paintwork. There is software that's amazingly good at removing image noise but it's better to not have it to begin with if possible, so you could do with having more (diffuse) light. By itself this can reduce noise quite a bit but you should also be able to change to a lower ISO setting for a two-fold improvement.

Hi Edward,I like the addition of the beard,it really suits the figure, lovely painting as well of the grey uniform, congratulations, great result :)

Edward, great job on this figure, the grey is absolutelly amazing, perhaps a little more light on the folds in the red shirt but i like the high contrasts and one should not critique base on personal taste.
Your work is first class and i couldn't have painted grey in 10 years as well as you did with this fig,the texture and colors you've created looks very real on the figure.
Best regards

Beautiful piece... you've really caught the jaunty air of the Rebel Cavalryman. Grey is definitely one of the harder colours to paint effectively (right up there with white) and you've nailed it!

Great work

Colin

What a great looking face Edward, love the beard. Agree with everyone about the grey uniform, it looks very natural and realistic. The stripes look really good also, they stand out very well against the grey tunic. Excellent painting on your Cavalry Sgt. Major Edward. Congrats, and Regards, SG:)(y)(y)
