Greetings.
This is a bit of an advanced WIP, as my camera was on the blink and I was unable to post pics.

I did intend to do this on my winter break but had some time on my hands so made a start.
It is my ( Mick's Mick's) 1/9th Scale V Bust Sgt Major BURT Irish Guards 1902.
Sculpt by Offo Pavol Ovecka Re worked by Tommi Worton.

Painted with Vallejo , & Dark Star metalics. I sill have a lot to do shading etc and the face needs a lot of work but getting there slowly.

Thanks Bob,
Don't know about clear the table, I'm packing the table up for the winter.
I Hope to get this done in the next day or two, Its been a great eye opener for the full bust
which I will do when away.
Thanks
Mick

You have done a beautiful job of this. However the bearskin and chin scales are not quite as good as they could be on the original casting.

The bear skin and chin strap are from the original casting, none of this has been touched, nothing has changed apart from the torso cut down to make the vBust .

Tommi

My comments were not regarding the painting but the original casting.

Mike

The original master sculpt of the head was used on the vBust to preserve the quality of the end product so there is no difference between this and the full bust.... Same parts used.

Tommi

Quite so, but the bearskin and chin scale on the original sculpt are not as accurately modelled as they could be. This doesn't detract from the quality of the painting.
