Having already done the V Bust I picked up some tips.

So will start to clean off the casting blocks and make a start. Just got to mount the Kettle Drummer first.

Feel free to chip in with any advice.

Using Acrylics I have put the base coats on now have to work on the detail.

Likewise Base coats blocked out, work on the girdle and finish that then add the arms.

Any comments please feel free.

Well done Mick, the head and torso look great in their base coat.
I have the same style holder from Rolston, although I replaced the handle with a wooden egg cup. It's now free standing.

Thanks Bob
I cant get on with the handle one some times I need two hands to steady the brush. The top one with the two ball sockets is ideal as the fig / bust can be rotated into any position and the weight of the base stops it falling over.

This is my favorite of your series Mick and the work that you have here shows him at his best.
A great achievement from you and Palo.......Love it
Keith

Thank you Keith. Great minds think alike. I have to say it is my favorite so far. But the Hussar was great to paint.
I wanted to do the Lancer but I wanted him a little different from the norm of stabbing at folk with long pointy poles.
Just wait till you see the Irish Guard.
Thanks
Mick
