Does anyone have this 54mm 'Soldiers SGF' figure in their GA that they would like to sell please?

I think the number was SR-31.

Thank you.

Cool piece! Never seen it before. Later Empire, maybe mid 3rd - 4th Century?

Thanks Renato I know what it looks like...just don't tease or torment me !

Gary

It wasn't to torment you, just because in the photo the subject is written with precision, with dates and legion of belonging.
I thought I had already found it after these days, so no "playful" intentions!

Thanks Rebe - I was only joking with you mate and my fingers are still crossed that one will turn up.

Gary

Of course, there are no problems man !!:);) I thought you had already found it and there were doubts about the dating of the soldier.
I saw one last week on Ebay, if it will be useful to you. For the rest, it is a beautiful model !!! !!!!!!!

Thanks for the tip off about eBay and confirmation that there are still some copies around. I have a friend who is in touch with someone in Italy and I MAY have tracked one down but I await confirmation. Whist it may not be 100% historically accurate, I want to include this piece with the Alexandros 54mm Marcomanni set; all of which I have and this one will fit in just perfectly for a group setting.

Cheers Rebe and best regards.

I know all these pieces very well, but none are historically perfect !!
The SGF piece is much older, but in line with historical research as it is always a piece sculpted by Laruccia.
However, I can warn you that the Alexandros models are a bit larger in scale, so consider compatibility well !!Mine is just a piece of advice that I feel I can share, obviously without being a categorical opinion.
I hope I have been useful to you, good job !!

Regards

Thanks Rebe and if it isn't compatible for the reasons you give, I can always use it as a stand-alone piece.

STILL looking by the way as it seems the Italy seller hasn't now got one.

Of course, it remains a beautiful and excellently carved piece. I hope your search is successful and you will find one !! Regards
