    Greetings all:

Following are the photos of my most recently completed figure. Another addition to the Yorktown diorama. Thank you to everyone who previously offered suggestions. I look forward to hearing your further thoughts and comments.

    Hi Dan,

Figure looks very nice and complements your other marching figure.
Just looking at this sgt, he is carrying a spontoon, but he also sports a cartridge pouch? Presumably in warfare, he would be carrying a fusil instead of a spontoon.

    Victor -

Your point is well made. Since the diorama represents Yorktown preparations, I have taken some liberties with the depicted scene. This sergeant is assembling the Royal Deux Ponts infrantry and may have left his musket in another's care until they march into battle. In linear warfare it was common for the sergeant to carry a spontoon before any action.

    Best regards,
    Daniel

Very well painted figure! The mud on his trousers and boots looks a bit too thick painted to me. It's better to build up with layers of very diluted paint.
