Hello all,

I recently finished this figure sculpted by Raul Latorre. He's depicted on the retreat to Corunna in January 1809. I used Vallejo acrylics as usual.

Thanks for looking and hope you like it! Please let me know what you think.
Edward

Always like seeing your work Edward. Beautiful detail painting.
Only point would be flesh, looks like he is heavily tanned & it's middle of winter chill.
Still I like it & nice simple composition on the base work, looks cold & desolate.
What do you use for snow?

Thanks in advance,

Mike

Mike, I used Scale75 artificial snow mixed with white glue.

By the way, with regard to the groundwork I had in mind J.P. Beadle's painting The Rearguard..

Edward,

Absolutely fabulous work. Congratulations.

I marvel at the talent of the members of this forum. It is inspirational. There are so many good sculptors and painters - way outside my class.

Thank you for sharing this marvellous figure.

Chris

Nice rendition of this one Edward, not a lot of colour to work with which makes it that bit harder to put across ,
very nice altogether .
