After a long time I finished the figure at last.
It depicts a Zugsführer (Platoonleader) of an austrian Sturmbataillon, ready for the 12th (and last)
battle at the Isonzo 1918. It is the Metal Models figure with some little changes and adds.
    Hope, you like it.

Good work Thomas. I like the weathering and groundwork, it sets it off nicely. I've done this one myself and thought the fingers were a bit chunky but other than that it's a nice figure of an interesting subject.

Thank you Roger and yes, you´re right. The hands are a little to big.

Thank you all for your kind words. Yes Roger, another crimean is in preparation. It is the standardbearer of the Grenadier Guards from The Roll Call. Alot of work to do, but it looks mighty with this big flag.

    Greetings Thomas

Very good work. But I should have done it without the medals. Don't think they have them on when they are in battle
It's a great target for the Italian sniper.

Marc, I think it was common practice for the Austro-Hungarian army to wear their medals at the front.

    Nice figure!

Yes, I agree with Roger. There are dozens of wartime photos showing all types of Austro-Hungarian soldiers wearing their medals.

    All the best,
    Dan

Hi Marc, thank you. Yes it´s true. It was a common practise within the austrian Stormtroopers to wear their full medals in battle.

    Greetings Thomas
