    Hi Sergey!
I wonder how much time and energy you put into sculpting/ Your horses are great and especially I appreciate that your share your knowledge and ideas with other sculptors.
On-line activity of making together new items is the best way to study something new and to improve sculpting skills.
    Good luck!

Ogo! (wow - in Russian), I with pride participation in a theme near to such dear masters!
Quang, Markus, Dani - thanks that have supported the project. Already I present what interesting, horse figures will turn out in a result, and already likely it is possible to occupy turn!? And the most important gift for a planet of figure skaters, it to look and see all process as new figures from hands of masters are born is perfectly and it is very useful.
By the way, it also strong advertising for new figures;-).

Quang, Markus, Dani - please send me a photo or an illustration of a pose of a horse for the figure, I need to make for you the circuit - the table, and write what scale you want to make - I shall wait.

Hey Sergey, your sculpting talent is impressive, I am stunned.

About the book, here is Spain there are some online services which allows you to make your own (full colour) book. You must download a very simple and easy program to page your book by yourself and send it back, once received it they will print it for you in a very professional manner.

Here you can find one of this service provider:
    http://www.fotoprix.es/album_fotos_digital
Maybe you have the same service in your country too.

I do not think you will have any probelm getting someone to publish this book. I would not be suprised if you got more then one offer.

I have got to say I second you comment about the masters here on the planet. They all are very open and helpful to those of us just starting to sculpt. That is one of the reasons I like this site so much.

    Best

Jeff - Luca - thanks for your participation and kind words!
Gary - it is excellent{different}, I am very glad to see you among participants of the project, thanks. As choose scale and a pose of the future horse and came to me for drawing up of the circuit for you.
Already the company - Quang! Markus! Dani! Gary!
Now I want to show and try to explain for what to me with a pose of a horse your chosen photos or illustrations are necessary for you.
For the beginning I have collected a plenty of photos of different horses. But different breeds differ. To make one average circuit for many kinds, has drawn a contour of everyone horses (Corel-vector) and has made their translucent, has imposed against each other and has once again drawn an average contour. First it was 100 beautiful horses, then 30 and in a result only two. Further has drawn (Corel-vector) under the atlas of anatomy all bones and has collected a full skeleton of a horse. Has entered a skeleton in a ready contour and has noted all basic points of movement on a skeleton - all the main points it has turned out 15 (fifteen). Further has grouped each mobile part of bones with a contour and has cut on a detail. The pattern - the circuit of an exact contour and the exact sizes and exact points of turn (movement) has turned out. Uuuuffff......:) Now has put the circuit in different scales from 28 up to 120 mm.
To put precisely a skeleton, a pose and points - I simply I open a file with scale, import the image, and from above images I build a copy for a contour and a skeleton from a wire.
Thus now I can quickly put different poses for the work. It has turned out as the designer only in a computer. Further I type one sheet on the printer (A-4) and... It is possible to switch off a computer and safely to mould. Look at process.
The image is necessary for this purpose only and to know scale for the further work. (Quang! Markus! Dani! Gary!)
If you will see a mistake or the wish will appear - please speak, it is important for exact work - thanks for your attention, yours faithfully, Sergey.

This will be a must have for me. I have never painted a horse, let alone sculpt one. I have no need to sculpt a horse, but this thread has been so inspiring, it makes me WANT to sculpt a horse. Awesome work Sergey!

    Hello Sergey,

The 'inner working' sketches of the horse are REALLY useful. I already learned a lot with your postings. Can't wait for the full size book.

    Again an excellent initiative (y)

    Hi Sergei,

If I have understood correctly, now you would like a photo or illustration of the pose we would like to do?

The initial stuff you are posting looks excellent! Very, very well developed.

It is good to see not indifferent answers.
Markus - my friend the fine programmer, it{he} does{makes} a site for carrying out of a theme, I hope at the end of January we shall open a site and at once we shall open a theme and... At once we shall start to model a horse TOGETHER.
In Russia the main holiday New Year, and a vacation at all will be two weeks, I also shall leave from city on the nature. After a holiday everyone will have a rest and with good mood we shall start.;-)
John Long is not terribly, at us speak: " Features not such terrible - as it{him} draw ";-) I saw work of the friends and after a month of a theme " we mould together a horse " I have seen completely fantastic result, shall ask the friend to the sanction to show his{its} result for an example.
Quang - hi, now it is difficult to tell exact volume of the project of the book, I yet have not placed the order of photos for sections, 50-60 pages think.
Dani - yes, to me it is necessary for a photo or an illustration and scale (size) of your idea for the future horse (horseman) for the exact table in work.
Quang, Markus, Dani, Gary, Anders, John Long-!
The fine company, I think that already all who wants have told "yes".
I congratulate all on a holiday " New year! " - I wish tremendous successes all of you dear and have a rest well and cheerfully with family and friends! In a month we TOGETHER shall start magic, a birth of a new and alive figure;-)
I do not say goodbye, yours faithfully, Sergey.

I am sorry - Trooper, has written down - I think that after the ending of a theme the book is already unnecessary - information will be in process much more and much more usefully and much more qualitative!

P.S. I hope that our "serial" about a horse will be more interesting than the Brazilian soap opera ;-).
