There was an Englishman an Irishman and a Welshman
It used to be a Scotsman but he wanted to go it alone.

No offence taken Steve, you should have used the original first.Being a Scotsman you've got to have the ability to laugh at yourself,an attribute we Scots have in spades.Gives the Irish a wee break!!
My sister who lives in London for about 50 years told me once that the Scottish are the most evenly balanced people there is,they have a chip on both shoulders!!!

In my view Putin has undone a wrong that was done in 1954. The Hypocrisy of the West in the Crimean affair is astounding. Supporting an unelected Government and decrying a referendum run by an unelected Body..............What is wrong with putting the people of the Crimea where they want to belong? The Ukraine is a financial basket case, the EU didn't want to take it on without guarantees and now the West complains because the Russians want it...........Politics.....UGH

Ron I never subscribed to the better together campaign, I'm quite ambivalent about it, if the Scots want to go their own way then so be it and suffer or bask in the consequences what ever they may be. Isn't this what democracy is supposed to be about. Having said that Salmond joins the ranks of the sleezy slimeballs who count as politicians these days...........Cameron has just tried to buy my vote as a pensioner having allowed the banks to rob me for the past 4 years...fat chance;)

Anyone who's been watching this thread for a while will probably know my view of politicians in general, but in the case of our glorious western democratic statesmen, (insert rude noise here), making threats against Vladimir Putin,,,
it's like John Inman attacking George Forman with a feather duster...
    Here endeth the rant, Gary.
