    I was looking for something a bit different to add to my resin figures and came across 'Friendship' on Scientifc Models website, so it was duly ordered and with 3 days it was in my hands.

    The kit comes in a sturdy box with a painting of the scene on the front;

    Once you open the lid you are greeted with the items wrapped in black tissue paper and a card from the company. The 'scene' has been sculpted by the talented Mujin Park and scales out at 1/16th and comprises 8 parts;

    The first big piece is the base which measures around 11cm long, Its cast as a section of water, with a ripple in place around where the buffalo will sit and a couple of water lilies, All very sharp and well defined;

    The next large piece is the Water Buffalo, again cleanly cast in light grey resin and has excellent details, especially around the face and eyes. You can clearly see the muscle structure and hair on its head, this piece measures around 8 1/2cm. Of note is that the boys right arm and hand are cast onto the side of the buffalo;

    The two piece dry fitted shows no fit issues at all;

    Next up are the two large horns, and these measure in at around 3 /2 Cms. again lovely crisp casting showing the rippled bone structure and a nice little dragonfly is cast onto one of the horns, emphasising the 'Friendship' Title. I dont see any issues in fitting these to the buffalo;

    The smaller ears are also well defined with hair texture on the outside of each ear, they may benefit from further enhancement;

    [IMG]

    The Boy is sublimly cast, good structure on his upper chest and neck, showing his bones and his face has a complete look of serenity with his head leaning on his buffalo with his eyes shut, you can sense his love of his animal;

    Finally a minute butterfly, now if that lasts in one piece we will have to see;

    Overall a very impressive package. It can be purchased from this

    Have bought a few bust from scientific over the year. The themes they come out with are different then the main stream for sure.
