    Yes you read it correct a Samurai Mammoth. Couldnt resist him and after building Scalebro's Viking Warrior i knew what to expect. Superbly cast resin with exquisite details. cant see any major building flaws, have glued his trunk to the head which needed a smidging of filler, but the rest just seems to click together.

    Not much to show, photos i took of the main body as i rushed out to work, are a bit blurry, so will get some better ones tonight. Basicly just blocked in the main colours, using german red brown for his fur and reds for his uniform/outfit/clothing. These two photographs of the head have come out ok'ish;

    Wasnt at all happy with the original fur colour, so mixed a new one with flat earth and a dab of German red brown, much happier now, so can now crack on.

    Not much to report, not had much time recently to get at the table with the brushes, but have finally got the red ( i like) blocked in and base coated the gold areas in brown.

    Ive had no time at all with the brushes over the last week and a half. Daughter's had interviews at a few unis - hoping to study Paramedic science, Weekends taken up with Ice Hockey and this weeks been a washout so far with a trip to Sheffield Uni, got home to then receive a call and had to work till 3am the next day, so knackered for two nights. Anyway enough moaning; I did get to a point where i had added shadows and highlights to his fur, reds painted in neatly gold added and started work on the braiding.
