Last week I was able to finish up another commission figure to be picked up at the Open House here last Sunday. Its a 54mm Saxon Warrior on a Ken Thomas Black Burl cliff face base. Flesh is in tube oils and the rest is all enamels.

Thanks for looking.

Nice paintwork Guy!
I also like the groundwork, this wood has a harmonic texture to the winter scene.

Congratulations!

Cheers,

Thanks Balázs. I did a summer scene with a cliff faced base and did not like it as much as a winter snowy scene. Like you said......it harmonizes the whole scene together.

NICE! Love the way the "cliff-face" base just melds right into the groundwork, you used that to great effect here Guy. Fun stuff!

Thanks Jamie and Jay for the feedback. There are many times that a figure and a bust "Just go together" and I think I pulled it off this time.

Thanks guys for the valuable feedback. I am glad you liked the way he turned out.

Guy,
The customer should be very pleased as this turned out great and the base is excellent and shows the figure very well.
Cheers
John

WOW! Very wonderful.
A snow of a ground work looks very vivid.
I didn't think of such presentation.
A wonderful idea.
It's emphasized by beauty of the figure.
I congratulate completion.
