Hello guys, I share this pictures of my version of this figure from Latorre Models, the figure is a commission for a Mexican collector.
Please notice that the right hand is not glued to the arm, is only for the pictures cause I have to send it separate from the figure.
    Hope you like it

Brilliant painting Ernest. The detail and subtlety sets the bar very high.
I'm interested ......Why does the arm have to be sent separately?
    Cheers

:D I was wondering if some sort of weird new legislation had come in.......remember the crazy situation a few years back when issues arose over sending figures holding rifles.

Brilliant piece of painting, Ernest. Just how I like these dark ages' figures to be: muted and gloomy colours. I always look forward to your work, keep them coming!

Really cool work! Every material(leather, fur, fabric etc) in this figure painted in a different way! Ernest please let me know about your painting... I think basically you used acrylics as always, is that right? An then in which way you use oils above acrylic paint? Meaning how much, in which areas, with which criteria?

Thanks a lot for your comments guys, LLias I always use acrylics but for metal parts I usually paint with printer ink and metal mediums, the oils are only fro horse (sometimes) yes I use oils over the acrylic base is better for a good adherence but as I said oils is not my favorite medium to paint figures

Very realistic painting Ernest, great colors. Love the face and blonde hair. Your base, with the snow, creates a great mood for the figure. Excellent!!! Regards, SG:)(y)(y)
