I received El'Greco's Satyr Demon bust last week, and I must say it's a great little bust in it's own right, but I'm afraid to say I've been bitten by my old habit of adding legs on to bust's, but in this case it's more like adding 3/4 of the body.

He's in the very early stages of conversion with rough model putty over a wire frame, standing at about 150mm, I'm not sure yet if he's going to be naked with lots of body hair or covered with some type of rough clothing, He'll be holding a spear in the right hand while holding a chain lead in the left attached to the sabre toothed panther's collar(Verlinden's).
He's got a long way to go but I thought I'd show it now to see what you think of the idea of a sort of Demon type hunter taking his panther a-hunting for a victim.
I hope to make some more progress on it before Figureworld if possible.
    cheers

    Hi Jim ,
Well is there nothing scred that does not escape the legs!!!! this will look great and what a wonderful combination using the animakl as well .
The pose you have given him ie lunging forward looks very menacing ..

Good start and look foward to seeing more .

    Jim:

Wow, super. . . I agree with Kevin. Adding the animal was just the right
touch, re tension and atmosphere. . . and a much more interesting sense
of composition. A lot more eye candy now, mate!

To me, the animal really brings the theme of the scarey guy with
a hornsy personality, upward quite a few number of notches. Uh hun.

I will follow this project with a lot of interest.

Just a super idea. . . I am not a sculptor, so I admire someone like you that
can take that bust and make a full figure out of it. Wow. And . . Double Wow,

Just shows the sculpting skills that the modeler has at his disposal, actually a nice talent to have indeed - this'll look great when finished, keep us in the loop.
