Is this your first figure? It seems so not...
The pics are not so nice, so I might can say to much about it.
I like the trousers and the withe jacket.
Dont like the yellowish in front of the jacket.
And i missed a littlebit smoke/dust out of the pipe.
thanks for sharing. Try to do better pics and you will get more words...

Is this your first figure, if it is then it's not bad.

For me speaking as another beginner, I feel that it lacks depth, all the colours are too one tone and there is no shading or highlighting on the breeches or pelisse to speak of, unless they are so subtle they have been washed out by the camera.

There is simply no contrast on the colpack and the face is far too shiney. In addition for me, contrary to another post, I don't think the eyes are convincing at all. They appear to be too large and they have been outlined too much, he looks like he is wearing eyeliner.

Sorry for being blunt, but I always say that unless people tell the truth about our work, we'll never progress.

I'm no where near the abilities of your friends, but I'm sure that they will have pointed the same things out to you, probably more so as photos always seem to have a way of hiding some things.

Thank you for sharing though, us lesser painters have to have nerves of steel to post our finished work on forums like these.

Tim the photos ara a bit shiny because I'm a beginner in taking photos need to progress a little bit more;)

I assure you that the figure has highlights and shadows and speeking of the white it is my first attempt on the white and it needs some more shadows as well ;) ;)

As for the colback the pics are not good but has contrast as well:)

The figure is in 90mm and the eyes have to be outlined upper lid black and lower lid brown and they have a little bit of gloss varnish as well.A catch light is seen as well!!!!!

Thank God Almighty its READY :D :D :D

Tim, its not as bad as it looks on the photos I can assure you of that, and for his 1st figure its not bad at all ;)

However I still can't understand the way the braiding looks........plain yellow above the (belt running diagonally from the shoulder....excuse my ignorance in nappies) and shaded yellow beneath it????!!!!!????

With that said, and with all the flak I throw at you (mhux wahdi :D) all in our "famous joking" style, I can only say.....KEEP IT UP LAD :) :) :)

    See you tomorrow.......

    Ray ;)

    Okay Ray.

Sam never mentioned that it was his first model!!

I have to take back what I say, although the eyes do still look unconvincing to me, I still struggle to get this aspect right on my larger figures 40mm and upwards.

Pictures don't always show things in their best.

For a first model this is a good start and quite a challenging one as well, white boy that is a tough colour to start with!!

Keep up the good work and don't be afraid to ask questions on the various forums and of your friends and please don't forget to post here as well.
